Craig Freyenberger

Interim CEO

  • BCH has been a huge blessing in my life! I’ve been at BCH since 2015, and it’s so amazing to work at a place where I can see God move in the lives of children! I get the privilege of talking with donors and I am thrilled to hear their stories and hear their passion to support the ministry.

Our donors walk along with us to help hurting children get the care that they need to thrive. These conversations remind me about my purpose at BCH to keep track of finances so that we can be good stewards of all that God has given us.

At home, I have a beautiful wife and 4 energetic boys. I love watching and playing sports. Although basketball is my favorite to play, my favorite professional team is the Chicago White Sox. One of my bucket list goals is to visit all the Major League Baseball parks.

Dawn Loftis

Executive Assistant

  • I have been with BCH since 1983, but my actual link goes back much further. My grandparents were relief houseparents at the original group home in Kouts, Indiana before I was born. The girls from the home made me a baby blanket. Growing up in the area at Calvary Baptist Church in Valparaiso the Children’s Home was always a part of my life. Having BCH kids in my Sunday School and Children’s Church classes kept me close to the ministry. I graduated from Calumet Baptist in Griffith and attended Liberty University before getting married. The Lord has blessed me with a son and daughter-in-law, who live in the area.

My love for children has been a wonderful fit for me to serve at Baptist Children’s Home. I have been blessed to place hundreds of children in temporary loving homes with amazing families. An added blessing is being able to keep in touch with some of the families we’ve helped over the years.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking and baking as well as traveling with friends. I recently brought a puppy home. Walking and playing with her keeps me very busy too.

Wayne & Priscilla Manago

BCH Representatives

  • Wayne and Priscilla moved to Valparaiso and joined the BCH team after 43 years in pastoral ministry. They will represent BCH at churches and various conferences along with working in the office part-time.

Wayne was saved through the ministry of Baptist Children’s Home as a teen. He attended junior and senior high school with some of the BCH teens in Kouts. It was through their friendship that he attended First Baptist Church, Kouts, and saw his need for a Savior.

After Wayne and Priscilla were married, Priscilla worked in the BCH home office, and they were occasional relief houseparents. They were also youth leaders at FBC to many of the teens from BCH. She is enjoying being back in the BCH office.

Wayne and Priscilla have been married 43 years and have five married children and eleven grandchildren. They enjoy reading, taking walks, and spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Debby Stowers

Director of Marketing

  • Debby enjoys life with her husband Dwight and their two adult children, Kyle and Emmie. She is a Purdue graduate, but most importantly a lifelong children’s and women’s ministry participant. What Debby likes most about working at BCH is how everything we do impacts the lives of children.

In her spare time, Debby enjoys creating and crafting, sharing time and laughs with her family and friends, and attending college basketball games to cheer for her daughter on the cheer team.

Kortney Persuhn

Caseworker

  • Kortney joined the BCH family as a Family and Children Case Worker. She graduated from Purdue Northwest, studying Social Work. Kortney has a heart for serving her community in a Christ-like way.

Kortney is known for being compassionate, joyful, and sincere. When she is not working, she may be spending time with family, reading, and/or going on walks with her two Yorkies. She married her high school sweetheart in 2020. Their favorite hobbies are working out and worshipping together.

Kortney hopes to make a positive impact on the agency.
