Providing Christian Care and Counsel for Family Living

At BCH we care for vulnerable children and families in a holistic manner, with a focus on biblical truth, permanency, and a true family environment according to James 1:27.  Family care is important to us because, according to Psalm 68:6, God places the solitary in families. The family is God's design and therefore our goal.
In the US, we care for children who are vulnerable in volunteer, temporary, Christian homes we call Care Families. Our Care Families welcome children into their own home and care for them as part of their family while parents can resolve difficulties they are experiencing. We also care for at-risk children internationally. Although there are many vulnerable children in the countries in which we serve, we strive to provide care for them in their own families or with dedicated foster families who will raise the children as their own in small family settings. Our desire is for permanency.
Often trauma affects a child’s ability to remain in his/her own home. We address this with our Trauma Awareness Training. We teach families and churches who have experienced trauma about parenting in a biblical and trauma-aware manner. This is valuable both in the US and at all our international sites.
BCH, Inc. was called into existence in 1955 by churches seeking assistance in caring for families and children. BCH, according to the biblical mandate in James 1:27 to "Care for the Fatherless", answered this call and today cares for children in the United States, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, India, Liberia, Myanmar, Nepal, and Zambia.
